Art From Around the World
We live on a planet filled with a myriad of diversity and culture. Much of this can be seen and experienced through the arts. For thousands of years, the art of our world has depicted the culture, traditions and flavors prominent to the uniqueness of where it is produced. As art teachers and artists ourselves, we the teachers at Let’s Create, strive to give children the opportunity to see the world and begin to understand its cultural diversity through the visual and occasional performing art projects and activities we plan and prepare each day. Children participate in a wide variety of multi-media art projects designed for them to learn and explore a worldly view of color, texture, design, and technique while discovering the wonders of our world. Along with our art studio time, children will enjoy getting outside to explore and enjoy amusement parks, beaches, and local hiking trails in Maine. This is a great brain and body break for the children and teachers. We travel as a group and always have a great time together! We hope you can join us this summer!

Escape with us to New Zealand as we discover its natural wonders through sea inspired artworks. Have fun with color and design as we explore the culture and tribal art of the native Maori Tribe.
Art Projects: Kindness Rock Project, Maori mask making, beaded mosaic sea life, New Zealand birds watercolor paintings, shoreline landscape paintings, seashell clay pots, seascape paintings, clay penguin sculptures.
Field Trips: Maine Warrior Gym, Ft. Williams, and Sebago Lake State Park
June 24-28, 2024 Chile
Take a trip to South American country of Chile with us and learn about their festive culture rich in the arts as we explore their designs, landscape, wildlife, and visual art.
Art Projects: Kindness Rock Project, Chilean rain sticks, mountain landscape collage, watercolor Chilean parrot paintings, hand-painted Chilean tiles, tissue paper butterflies, colorful woven book marks, coastline paintings, Easter Island sculptures.

Explore the African country of Tanzania with us as we learn about the culture, native designs, artists, landscape, wildlife, and history of this vibrant area.
Art Projects: Kindness Rock Project, clay figure sculpture, animal portraits, Tanzanian pottery, clay mask sculptures, hand drawn & dyed batik style Tanzanian designs on fabric, Tanzanian landscape and silhouette paintings, tribal bracelets.
Field Trips: York Wild Animal Kingdom & Two Lights State Park
July 15-19, 2024 Thailand
Join us as we venture to the magical world of Thailand and learn creative arts & crafts techniques that explore the colors and textures that define this beautiful place.

Travel through the exotic country of India with us and discover its culture through color and design. Children will participate in art projects inspired by both the spiritual and natural worlds.
Art Projects: Kindness Rock Project, Yoga practice, ink hand drawn mandalas, ceramic sculpted lotus flowers, metallic peacock paintings, ink “Zentangle” self-portraits, multi-media metallic and beaded elephant artwork, hand painted wood block strong art, and more!

July 29-August 2, 2024 Ireland
Journey through Ireland with us as we explore its rich agriculture and landscape, folklores and celebrations, and its ancient architecture and Celtic artworks.

Get inspired by the European country of Spain as we learn about its culture, arts, artists, and famous cities and explore their history, landscape, and wildlife.
Art Projects: Kindness Rock Project, Salvador Dali inspired melting clock sculptures, clay sculptures, Spanish tile painting, succulent sculptures, colorful oil pastel cityscapes of Madrid, and Spanish fighting bull portraits, Sagrada Familia multi-media sculptures.
Field Trips: Funtown USA & Kettle Cove
